The Portland Rugby Football Club and Hews Truck Bodies and Equipment presented the seventh annual Maine Collegiate Rugby Championships on April 12, 2008 at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds. The Colby Women and UMaine-Farmington Men were crowned 2006 Maine Collegiate Champions. The 2007 edition of the Maine Cup was canceled due to weather.
We will once again pick our tournament All-Star XVs. While the details are still being worked out on the NERFU all-stars, NRU ITT select side and National Team selection processes, this weekend will be an important first step. In 2005, for instance, Bowdoin's Nick Reid went to the ITTs representing the NorthEast to compete for a spot on the Eagles.
